2: Step-by-Step Profitability Tracking (+Spreadsheet)
NOTE: this video is also found in the 80/20 Quick Start. If you’re already watched it there, skip ahead.
This video covers multiple examples for daily, weekly, and monthly tracking, from simple to more involved. Pick a schedule you can adhere to. In most circumstances (when running backlist ads), I track weekly and monthly.
I typically only track daily under three circumstances. Launches (first 30 days), promos (during the promo period or for the first 30 days of the promo), and conversion/ad platform feature testing (to determine which ads are working).
The sheet also contains templates for tracking author comps on Amazon, Facebook, and BookBub.
